Position Summary:
o A Product Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and sourcing products from suppliers to meet the company’s inventory needs and customer demands. This role involves researching suppliers, negotiating prices, ensuring product quality, and managing relationships with vendors. The Product Sourcing Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams such as purchasing, logistics, sales, and marketing to ensure a steady supply of goods at competitive prices.
o Key Responsibilities:
o Supplier Research & Identification:
o Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and manufacturers globally.
o Develop a network of suppliers that align with the company’s product requirements, quality standards, and budget.
o Conduct market research to discover new sourcing opportunities, trends, and best practices.
o Negotiation & Contract Management:
o Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other conditions with suppliers.
o Ensure compliance with company standards and regulations through the negotiation of favorable contracts.
o Develop and maintain contracts with suppliers and ensure timely renewals.
o Product Evaluation & Quality Assurance:
o Evaluate the quality of sourced products and work with suppliers to resolve any issues.
o Work with quality assurance teams to conduct product testing and ensure the quality meets company standards.
o Manage any product complaints or returns from customers.
o Inventory Management:
o Work with supply chain and inventory teams to maintain an optimal level of stock.
o Ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any shipping or supply chain issues.
o Forecast future demand and adjust sourcing plans accordingly to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
o Vendor Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
o Regularly evaluate supplier performance and resolve any issues that may arise.
o Foster collaboration with suppliers to improve pricing, delivery, and product quality.
o Cost Control & Optimization:
o Monitor and analyze product costs to ensure profitability for the company.
o Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize product pricing and sourcing.
o Ensure that all sourcing activities are conducted within budgetary constraints.
o Data & Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of product sourcing activities, contracts, and supplier performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
-Experience: 2+ years of experience in product sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
-Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
-Experience in global sourcing, particularly in identifying suppliers from different regions or markets.
-Strong analytical skills and experience using sourcing or procurement software.
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
-Knowledge of market trends, product innovation, and competitive pricing.
-Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
